Do I really have to leave? It's not that I don't want to come back, It's just that I don't want to leave. I don't even mind the rain. Thank goodness it is only Tuesday. I just hope I have enough polaroid to last me the week. I miss you guys.

Hello (said quickly). Thank you so much for all of the half birthday and full anniversary wishes. Vegas was so fun. We got upgraded to a suite at the Hard Rock, drank champagne and ate chocolate covered strawberries (Andrew's parents had it waiting in our suite), gambled for hours and didn't lose a dime (didn't win a dime, either, but we felt very lucky - - plus drinks are free while you gamble) and we renewed our vows (at the drive thru wedding chapel). More photos here. Off to Paris tonight. I will do my best to post while I'm there (I know, I already said that. I really want to. We'll just have to see how it goes). If not, I'll be back on May 3rd with lots and lots of photos.
PS. I took this polaroid right before we left for the renewal. I made a special renewal headbandy thing, and Andrew was kind enough to let me wear it all day and all night. I'm considering just wearing it every day for the rest of my life. Is that bad?

I figured I deserved a cupcake (or two, or three), since it is my half birthday today. Andrew and I are heading off to Vegas for a shoot and an anniversary celebration (3 years on Wednesday) and then it's off to Paris. I can't promise a post everyday for the next couple of weeks, but I will surely do my best.

on our first trip to vegas (the one when we fell in love - - gag. i know) we stayed our first night at casesar's palace (because i wanted him to get the full vegas experience) and the second night at the stardust. the place was pretty gross, but we didn't notice. how could we? we were floating on air. they tore it down recently. kind of sad, but at least i have this polaroid.

This is for the April Photo Trade here (another one of Jen's creations - I like Jen. I like her a lot!). Sign up now for May if you are interested, and you should be interested. I'm interested. It's interesting. April's theme was fairy tales. I was totally stumped. Then I decided rather than portray and existing fairy tale, I would create my own. These are the ingredients.
Oh. I totally forgot to thank Joy for mentioning me and my new site on her blog. She mentioned in her post that she had decided to jump on the Jen Gotch bandwagon. A bandwagon. How exciting. I told her I had no idea there was a bandwagon. Why didn't anyone tell me. How fun. Thanks, Joy.

Another one dug up from the archives. This was taken on a trip to Palm Springs shortly after we were married. We stayed at the Desert Star. A cute quiet place that used to be the sister motel to Hope Springs, but I think they broke up. Can sisters break up? Well, you know what I mean.

Today is not an awful day. Not at all. The weather is a bit milder (it was in the 90's this weekend -yuck) and so far the morning has gone well, but really, I'd rather be road tripping. Aren't they the best? I just love the way it feels on the open road. And it's an easy way to get fantastic photos. This polaroid was taken on a cross country road trip that I took with my friend Bobbi, which paved the way for a very similar trip Andrew and I took for our honeymoon. We might get to go on a short road trip to Vegas next week for work. I'll keep you posted. For now we can all just dream.

I remember the day I found this amazing gold trailer. Andrew and I met when he came to visit a friend in Los Angeles (Andrew was still living in Australia at the time). We had a whirlwind courtship that lasted 5 weeks - - we decided to get married after 2. I know, I know, totally crazy. Though anyone that knows me would tell you that I am crazy, so it makes sense. Back to the trailer. I was just starting to shoot polaroid (maybe I was about a year in) and we took a trip to Desert Hot Springs and stayed at the amazing Hope Springs (another favorite place. second place on my favorite place list in fact, behind the one and only Parker Palm Springs). We had just gotten on the road to drive back to LA all tan and giddy in love and we happened upon this little gem. We probably stayed there for half an hour just taking photos of it and wishing it was ours. So this one, this one is definitely one of my favorites.

Before I go any further I have to thank you so much for all of your kind words. I cannot tell you how good that made me feel. You didn't hate it. What a relief. I will definitely make the text darker. I really wanted it to be faint, but apparently if you make the text faint, people can't read it, and isn't that what text is for in the first place?, for people to read. I might ask you to check it again in a few days and let me know if it is better, plus I have a few more pages I want to add as well.
Next on the list . . . Tabletop Props. I've been getting the barn in order, but as most projects I get myself into, it is a lot more involved than I thought. Luckily I have Andrew and my brother to help me out. I hope to have it up and running (including the website) by next Friday. We'll see. For now I thought you might like a sneak peek. Hope you like it.
Thank you, again.

Not that I don't like prop styling, I do. I would just like to move onwards and upwards, ya know? Please check it out and let me know what you think.
PS. If you have something really awful to say like, "I hate it!" or "You're stupid." Would you mind emailing me directly. I'm sensitive.

For just one day. I promise I will give you a polaroid tomorrow. For today I give you some digital.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Check out Erin's ezine over at Design for Mankind. She invited me to be a part of it and gave me the cover, and the inside cover. So cool.
