is the parker in palms springs. our favorite place to go, especially when they are running the spa junkie package. i usually cry when we have to check out.

i had to get a bunch of tv sets for a shoot i just finished. i decided to take some polaroids before i brought them back to the prop houses. i only had two packs of polaroid left and i used all 20 shots. there are a few more of them on my flickr site. now i have to get more film.

i've been spending a lot more time in the kitchen lately. this whole becoming a foodie think can really take over your life. made an amazing hot cocoa last night. took some photos this morning. here they are.

it rained here yesterday.
it rained all day, so i took that as a cue to stay in my pj's all day and surf the internet.
i also took some photos.
one thing about the rain is that the light is always really nice. i figured i would take advantage of that.
looks like rain again today.

I heart twine.

i just love twine. i have a problem. i won't let my husband use the twine for anything utilitarian. don't touch my twine.

i am addicted to swap meets. i have been for a really long time. i often buy things that i do not need. those seem to be the best things, and these cards fall into that category. More shots on my flickr site.

this little corner

there is a little corner above the mantel in our house that is becoming a popular place for me to shoot. i shot the horses there, and today i decided to rummage through my jewelry (and now i guess i'll have to be the one to put it all back), and take some shots in said corner. what's next?

flickr is taking over my life; has this happened to anyone you know?

flickr is taking over my life. when i sleep, i dream about flickr. i think i am just so happy to have an outlet like that for my photos. i have been scanning a lot and shooting a bit. it is all so overwhelming & my husband thinks he needs to put me on some sort of a structured plan so that i still remember to eat and pay attention to him. thank you to everyone who has visited my flickr site. i am continuing to add photos, so please check back. i shot these horses today after being inspired by rachel's shots.

so i had horrible insomnia last night and decided to be productive with my time. i have been wanting to start posting photos on flickr, so that is exactly what i did. i continued my "white is the new black" series. here it is.

my favorite polaroid

april 23, 2005, somewhere on the vegas strip. our wedding day, and my absolute, 100%, hands down favorite polaroid is this one. the bad news is (obviously) i didn't take it. my husband's best friend, justin (a very talented photographer), did the honors. this was right after we got married. we rented an old cadillac and cruised the strip.

i spent a lot of time this weekend reading blogs and being inspired. i came across a lot of images from japanese books and magazines that i loved! so i took a trip down to little tokyo to buy myself some books. i bought a lot! i also bought these shoes, a vase, some dishes, bowls, etc.
