recently my friend here has become very popular. and how could she not. she's beautiful, stylish, and eternally young. oh, and let's not forget those lips. i have always wanted to be able to wear red lipstick like that. all the time. i think i would look really put together. people would respect me. i would probably become wealthy and very, very famous. i just have yet to find a great red that stays on, but doesn't dry your lips. any suggestions??

I love her. that just made me put red lipstick on. (Saint Red by Lipstick Queen - it's definitely really red but not overpowering and neither drying or gloopy - I love it)
Aaaah, red lipstick. I, too, have always wanted to try. I tried, but felt silly. I will live vicariously through you... and your friend.
I wish I did. I don't wear it cuz I have thin lips and it never stays. I'm a huge fan of lip gloss!

I can see why your friend there is popular. Nars red lipstick is a definite must try. There are a ton of reds to choose from. I have similar coloring to yours and I like Fire Down Below and Shanghai Express the best. I got married in Shanghai Express. It seems to look good on almost everyone.
I wear Russian Red by M.A.C. I love it. It stays put like a fortress and I don't think its that drying. Plus, its said to be the best shade for all skin tones. Good luck.
I saw a young lady a few months ago with red lipstick and dark hair.....I was amazed on how good the two looked together. The look was a classic...a flashback in time.
I wondered why more women do not embrace this retro look...I seldom see it.

i know! put on red lipliner and put it all over your lips (color them in) and then put chapstick over it. it totally works!

Finding the right shade of red lipstick is oh-so-difficult... I came across a good one about a year and a half ago and am afraid of what I will do once it finishes...
