long beach swap meet

dear long beach swap meet.

you are my very favorite swap meet. i love you, long beach swap meet, but i beg of you not to tell the others (pcc, rose bowl, santa monica, torrance . . .). it's just that you never disappoint. you are always there for me (at least you are on the third sunday of every month). you feed me with your soft pretzels and semi-flat pepsi and you don't rob me blind. in fact, i always find the most inspiring things at you, long beach, and they usually cost around a buck. somehow this weekend the bucks added up, but that's probably because i have a little project i'm working on. thanks for the inspiration, and the horrible sun burn.

if you ever make it to the san francisco bay area...the alameda antique faire is pretty amazing. one tip if you really want to score better deals is to start from the back.

Oh, I'm so intrigued. Your next project. Do tell!

Hope you're enjoying (what's left of) summer.

Cheers.

Dear LB swap meet,
I heard you are cheating on me with Jen. Are there others? Shenanigans. Is it because they enjoy wholesome pepsi and pretzels while I imbibe in a beer and hot dog breakfast? I'll change. Be better. Spend more. Or I guess I can just learn to share. There really is enough of you to go around....

If it’s worth getting a sun burn then, go ahead. LOL! Swap it. Have a fun day.

There is nothing like going to your favorite flea market. When I lived in LA mine was always the one on melrose and Fairfax. While the rosebowl is big - it always overwhelmed me. Ah memories.
