yep. no comparison even though, of course, the digital is quite pretty. you will get used to it ... and start to craft the digital to your liking (if you have not already). just give it some time (is my advice). xx

not the same but, you could make them more compatible with a curves adjustment. There is a loss of detail in the digital version, which might be avoidable. How did you get your digital version?

They're both good looking. I agree with Mav, you just need to get used to the difference.

i had the same thought as kelley. if you play around with the settings you will probably find something that works for you. granted, it is never going to be polaroid.

They are both lovely. I shoot with the 5D and love it. Feel free to email me... I might have a little pixie dust for you. On our recent trip we treated our polariod film like GOLD. It is really sad. I hear you. Hang in there! Your digitals are beautiful.

Both are lovely. I am still getting used to digital as well. The magic is there, we just have to look a little harder. :)

I'm mourning Polaroid, too. The more you learn about digital post-processing and texture overlays, the more the sadness will ebb. Hopefully.

both are pretty but the polaroid has more soul. but everyone's right. maybe if you play with digital you can attain a similar effect.

i've been lurking for a while. this post was irresistible. i had to comment.

i love your blog.

I love polaroids, but think that digital suits this subject better.

It's like learning to cook with less butter...so much to mourn until you make the transition & start to work your magic in the new world. I think you're going to do wonders with digital, and discover all sorts of new paths along the way.

there is something just so special about that polaroid shot that the digital doesn't come close to capturing. sorry digital!
