valentine's day

i spent mine in bed. well in couch bed. . . my new bed. i seriously had every intention of getting up, but i just couldn't muster up the strength. that happens sometimes when i get real depressed. i miss kitty a lot and i am trying not to think about it so i don't get super depressed and then i got super depressed anyway. dumb. thankfully i have ban.do today so i will have no choice but to be cheerful. that place is so fucking cheerful. you can't even help it . . . you have to smile when you're in there (cause if you don't we throw you out). well, i hope you had a wonderful valentine's day. thank you for all of your comments and suggestions on the bedroom. i will keep you posted. and thanks, emily, for the pack of polaroid. you are the best!!

When my friend died this past summer it was like every part of me, every tiny vein and ventricle felt exposed and vulnerable. It was all so overwhelming. I really did not want to do anything but hide under my covers and cry for every memory we ever shared. In two weeks though school started again and I had no choice but to grit my teeth and get out of my bed. I'm glad I did though. You can miss alot when you stay under the covers. And you can't mourn for another person's (or cat's) life by throwing away yours. It's still really hard, but by pulling back the covers (very slowly) each morning, I start the process of taking it morning by morning, step by step.

Time is the great healer(not really)I still get sad thinking about 4 very special pets that have died in my life, one being my big sweet blind pure white akita this past summer...time just makes it hurt a little less.I cant believe someone would leave an unking remark about your kitty. Pardon my french but what a F@#$er!

i'm so sorry about your kitty. i don't know how i'll face that day when it comes for my cat.

also everything is harder in february. wait until march and things will start to feel easier. until then just treat yourself gently.

i just came across your blog. i'm so sorry to hear about your cat :( i love my cat so much, i named my little blog after him. i had the same experience with my dog who passed away years ago. i couldn't even let another dog come near me, i was so freaked out. but it got a little bit easier after a couple of years, and my boyfriend convinced me to adopt our cat, Max. he's the best gift i've ever received from Jon (my bf) :)
